Keeping a food diary is easy. Just note down everything you eat and drink over the period of a month and include any occasions when you suffer from a stomach discomfort or feelings of nausea. Once the month is over, check for any links between types of food and drink you consumed, and gastric problems you experienced.

If you identify particular foods that may be acting as triggers for problems, try eliminating them from your diet for a while. Did you experience fewer upset stomachs as a result?
